The Economy and Quality Marketing Communications:
Time to Do
More...Not Less

2. "Quality" newsletter: Besides just looking nice, a good newsletter needs to have good content. Having something actually going on of value in your brick-and- mortar operations actually kills two birds with one stone - e.g. 1) it gives clientele a reason to visit your place of business and participate in the activities and transact business there, and 2)it gives you great content and genuine "news" to write about in your e-newsletter, and can make the difference between whether recipients consider your e-newsletters "honey-baked ham" and stay or just "spam" and finally decide to drop.

New World Communications' new whitepaper could well serve as the "silver bullet" that public sector managers, supportive volunteers and respective staff have been looking for. While most of these technology-based strategies have already been market-tested by us in the private sector, most public sector stakeholders still have not taken fullest advantage of them by implementing them in a quality-controlled way.

So how to get it right business success-wise in this now 21st century world..even in this economy? What we've discovered is that it has to do with putting together and coordinating a powerful combination of: 1. "Quality" real-world activities, 2. "Quality" e-newsletter, and 3. "Quality" web site.

1. "Quality" real-world activities: If you have an actual "brick-and-mortar" presence, then you have the opportunity of having something go on there that is of genuine and authentic interest there to existing and prospective clientele. That's what we mean by "Quality": It must be of authentic value to clientele, addressing their needs and wants.

3. "Quality" web site: Again it's not just about the "look- n-feel" of a web site. Again, "Quality" has to do with offering things of authentic and genuine value to existing and prospective clientele and keeping content current and truly interesting. It all has to do with better marketing communications and coordinating the whole "Power Triangle" of marketing activity on three major fronts - in your business, via e-mail and on the web. Fundraising and Resource Development for Non-Profits: NWC has Six Powerful New Strategies

It hard enough raising money and support for governmental programs and not-for profit organizations, but this economy makes it even more challenging. The good news, however, is that there are some 21st century business development strategies developed in the private sector, that stakeholders in the public sector can take advantage of.

We've just written a whitepaper for public sector managers, supportive volunteers and their staff titled, "Marketing Communications in a 21st Century World" that focuses on six affordable technology-based strategies for "doing more with less" in the public sector. These SIX strategies are:

  1. S.M.A.R.T. Marketing Communications and Business Planning
  2. Building Relationships for Better Results using Act! Contact Management Software
  3. Designing and Managing Web Presence with Plus Business Features
  4. Serving People Well with a Quality, Full-Color Newsletter Campaign
  5. Harnessing and Leveraging the Power of the New Low-cost Digital Television, and..
  6. Orchestrating the Entire Marketing Communications Program with "Power Triangle" Project Management

So the economy is slow. That's obvious. What's not obvious, however, is what to do about about it and that's the rub that can get some business managers into real hot water: instead of doing more quality marketing communications to get people in the door, they actually do less with the intent of pulling back and saving dollars. This move however, can actually COST them more because the overhead operational costs are still there and even less buyers come in the door because the value of the entire business enterprise and product/ service offering is being so poorly marketed and communicated.

At New World Communications, we are convinced that this challenging economy is all the more reason to do more QUALITY MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS, not less, even if you have less income coming in the door, and that can involve more marketing communications expertise than is typically found in-house. That's what we mean by "quality marketing communications", not just finding an amateur who only just recently learned HTML or who thinks using tons of annoying animated GIFs or getting cute with Flash-tm is all customers want and need to see.

The good news is that in this 21st century world, there are some very affordable technology-based strategies that when combined with tried-and-true traditional marketing and promotional techniques like well-planned facility events, product/service demonstrations, and special sales and incentives that can make a real difference with respect to bringing more customers through the door and increasing sales.

It's just a matter of enlisting the right marketing communications expertise to pull the whole thing off. At New World Communications, we have a whole arsenal of tried-and-true, cost-effective "brick-and-mortar" and online marketing communications strategies that can really make a difference.
