| The sad truth however, is that many organizations are in effect "shooting themselves in the foot" by cutting way back or even eliminating training altogether just when they could stand to use the benefits of continuing education the most. But we also all know the story don't we?: management is at least with it enough to give training some lip service, but when the going gets rough and the money gets tight, training is the first thing to get cut.
If you look at all the numbers, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to understand that on-going quality training, can make a real difference in business productivity and on the "bottom line" itself, so where is the communications "disconnect"? The problem is the cost of conventional training investments and how to integrate on-going training into the daily work routine. The real rub with quality training delivered physically, however, via face-to-face, mentored-style instruction has been the tremendous costs involved with flying people and trainers all around the country to get trained and how much time this takes.
On the other hand, first-generation "on-demand" canned web-courses and high-priced learning management systems (LMS) have left much to be desired, leaving both management and staff in a quandry, yearning for that old-style "stand-up", instructor-led type of instruction they can no longer afford.
The good news however, is that there now "net new" ways to deliver that face-to-face, mentored, real-time instruction, and as well "on-demand" web courses a lot more powerfully and cost-effectively. The new approach is called "blended learning" and if implemented the right way, it can provide some phenomenal results by blending and leveraging instructor-led "physical world" training events, with asynchronous web courses and even live web streaming events and face-to-face, real-time webinars.
Showing is better then telling, however, so if you need more information, plan on signing up for our upcoming "blended learning" curriculum in the not too distant future to experience what we are talking about first, or if you need more information sooner, give us a call today, we'd be happy to demonstrate our powerful new "blended learning" capabilities - 425-844-8908
